Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve turning performance and high speed stable performance by torque distribution between left and right driven wheels in a low lateral acceleration region and to secure cornering force of a turning inner wheel to reduce a grounding load in a high acceleration region.
CONSTITUTION: Torque distribution is carried out between both of driven wheels WRL, WRR by arranging a transmission 2 and two pieces of hydraulic clutches 3L, 3R between the left and right driven wheels WRL, WRR. Turning performance and high speed stable performance are improved by increasing torque transmission capacity in accordance with increase of lateral acceleration in a low lateral acceleration region. Cornering force is secured by decreasing the torque transmission capacity in accordance with the increase of the lateral acceleration and preventing the torque transmission capacity from exceeding the maximum frictional force of a turning inner wheel in a high lateral acceleration region.
