Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make a vibration damping device for a torsional damper compact and prevent the vibration damping device from affecting the buffer function of the torsional damper.
CONSTITUTION: A crankshaft 1 and a converter cover 5 are connected by a torsional damper 3. A vibration damping device 4 for preventing resonance generated because of this damper 3 is formed by closing the cavity 5a of the converter cover 5 by an end cover 16 and a member 17 engaged with the crankshaft 1 to set a fluid-filled closed space and enclosing a pack, formed by alternately disposing plates rotatory-engaged with the member 7 and plates rotatory- engaged with the converter cover 5, into the fluid-filled closed space so as to be made compact.
