Title:
HEAT-SENSITIVE RECORDING PAPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3023341
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fastness and shelf stability, enhance heat sensitivity and reduce the manufacturing cost by forming at least one heat-sensitive recording layer containing micro-capsules containing at least one sublimable dye, thermoplastic resin dyeable with the sublimable dye and a pigment on a substrate.
SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive recording paper 10 is provided with at least one heat-sensitive recording layer 2 on a substrate 1, and the heat-sensitive layer 2 contains micro-capsules 21 encapsulating a sublimation dye and an organic white pigment packed therein, thermoplastic resin 22 dyeable with the sublimable dye, and a white pigment 23. When the heat-sensitive recording paper 10 is heated by a thermal head 30 or the like, micro-capsules 21 are destroyed or softeningly deformed by heat on the heat-sensitive recording layer 2 to be heated, by which the sublimable dye 210 in the micro-capsules 21 is discharged. Released sublimable dye 210 is sublimed, and the thermoplastic plastic resin 22 contained in the same heat-sensitive recording layer is dyed and fixed to form a colored image record 100.
