Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a high capacity aluminum electrode foil for electrolytic capacitors efficiently and stably, by forming a resist section in which resist is present and a non-resist section in which no resist is present and then heating them for ashing the resist in the resist section on the surface of the aluminum foil. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a hard aluminum foil 1 which has not been annealed, there are formed a resist section 2 having a resist in pattern corresponding to the etching pattern as desired and a non-resist section 3 having no resist, by the photoresist process consisting of steps of applying the resist, mounting a photomask, exposing and developing the resist. Oxidation is carried out to form an oxidized coat film 4 on the surface of the aluminum foil in the non-resist section. The structure is then heated to ash the resist in the resist section 2. Then, the aluminum foil is etched. In this manner, an electrolytic capacitor having still higher capacity can be provided and an electrode foil having high electrostatic capacity can be obtained in a reliable manner.
