Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable detection free from graphic distortion due to sonic-ray refraction concurrently with transmission and reception of an ultrasonic pulse by providing a means for giving an average sonic velocity within a range of detection and a means for correcting a specified direction of a reception beam by the sonic-ray refraction from an object of detection to a receiver which is found from the ratio of a designed sonic velocity to the average sonic velocity. CONSTITUTION:Receivers 1 constituted of ultrasonic vibrator arrays receiving a reflected wave of a transmitted ultrasonic pulse, respectively, a control means 2 of a specified direction of a reception beam which forms a one-direction-specified reception beam by synthesizing reception signals of the receivers and also varies a specified direction sequentially, a means 3 which gives an average sonic velocity within the range of a detection depth, and a correcting means 4 of sonic-ray refraction from an object of detection to the receivers which is found from the ratio between average and designed sonic velocities, are provided. Actual directional angle theta2 is determined corresponding to a value of a directional angle theta0 of the means 2 at each time of reception, and the reception signals are sampled every time the actual directional angle reaches a necessary unit angle. According to this constitution, a hydrospace detection information is obtained at equal intervals with respect to the angle theta2 and thus sharp reduction of an arithmetic processing and execution of real-time correction are enabled.
