Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize a thermoelectric generating device small in size and therefore occupying but a small space for its installation by a method wherein a plurality of thermoelectric generating elements are stacked up one upon another through the intermediary of heat-radiating dielectric substrates, provided with wiring patterns on both sides, and said wiring patterns establish a series connection for the thermoelectric generating elements. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of iron silicide thermoelectric generating elements 1, formed into a U-letter of an anode-side terminal 1a and cathode-side terminal 1b with their tips covered by conductive film, are stacked up with heat-radiating dielectric substrates 2 between. Electrode wiring patterns 5 and 6 are formed on the front and rear surfaces of each of the heat-radiating dielectric substrates 2. By means of the electrode wiring patterns 5 and 6, neighboring terminals 1a and 1b of the thermoelectric generating elements 1 are connected, respectively, for the establishment of a series connection for the thermoelectric generating elements 1. A thermoelectric generating device of this design may be stronger in junction and smaller in size requiring a smaller space for installation, with the thermoelectric generating elements 1 being joined on both surfaces.
