Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reproduce a wide-area, high-density image to uniform density even when the image is continuously developed, and to reduce the size and manufacture cost of the single-component developing device which visualizes a latent image based upon a difference in electrostatic potential.
CONSTITUTION: The developing device consists of a developer carrier 1 which is provided opposite to an electrostatic latent image holder 2 and carriers a developer sticking on its surface and a cylindrical member which has plural opening holes in its peripheral surface and is equipped with a conveying supply member 4 which rotates on the axis of the cylindrical member. Further, this device has a peeling member 5 which is peeled off by being brought into contact with a developer sticking on the internal surface of the cylindrical member. A developer conveyance assistance member which is fixed in the cylindrical member and rotates in one body or a thin film which is fixed on the peripheral part of the opening holes of the cylindrical member may be provided instead of the peeling member.
