Title:
CORE FOR RUBBER CRAWLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3033674
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent peeling of rubber and cutting of the ends of a core embedded into a rubber elastic body constituting a rubber crawler by making the core thicker at its ends than at its inside, and chamfering each end into a C or R shape.
CONSTITUTION: This core for use with a crawler rubber shoe in a rubber crawler uses its center portion 1 for connection with a link and has its right and left wings 3 embedded into a rubber elastic body. In this case, thick-wall portions 4, 4 are formed on the ground plane side of both ends of the core and are each chamfered into a C shape. A rib 7 is formed on the ground side of the center portion 1, and ribs 8 are formed on the inner peripheries of the wings 3. By thus forming the thick wall portions 4, 4 at both ends of the core, a contact area between the core and the rubber elastic body is increased to reduce a rate at which the rubber is peeled. Also, a rate at which the ends are cut off is reduced since no edges exist at the ends of the rubber elastic body and the core.
