Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a distillation column which is equipped with a condenser for removing a vaporous sidestream and condensing the removed vaporous product and utilizes a thermal integration.
CONSTITUTION: In a distillation column with vaporous sidestream removal, the removed vaporous product is condensed in a condenser 4. A vapor pipe 2 provided for the removal of the product opens into a dip tank 3 of which the upper end is connected to the condenser 4 while its lower end is connected to a discharge pump 8. Inert gas present in the condensate is returned to a column 1 above the sidestream removal 2 through an inert gas pipe 7 arranged at the upper end of the condenser 4.
