PURPOSE: To provide the adapter holder common to adapters of various types relating to the adapter and more particularly the adapter holder to be used at the time of connecting optical fiber connectors to each other.
CONSTITUTION: This adapter holder is constituted by having a main holder of an L shape or inverted T shape in side view consisting of a main plate part 51 with which a rectangular strip-shaped flange of the adapter 30 comes into tight contact and a mounting seat 52 which is disposed at the lower edge of the main plate part 51 and is seated and fixed to an optical device side member, a hole 53 disposed in the desired position of the main plate part 51 in order to be loosely inserted with the cylindrical part of the adapter 30, a pair of grooves 55 disposed in the main plate part 51 opposite to both right and left side of the holes 53 in such a manner that their respective one-side ends communicate with the hole 53, a rectangular strip-shaped member 71 in right contact with the surface on the side opposite to the surface with which the rectangular strip-shaped flange 36 comes into tight contact, an angular projecting part 72 fitting into a groove 55 disposed in the central part of the surface of the rectangular strip-shaped member 71 and a T-groove nut 70 having a screw hole 79 disposed at the center of the end face of the angular projecting part 72.
