Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the preventive maintenance of a plant structural material and the water quality control by theoretically simulating the corrosion potential of the plant structural material around an actual nuclear power plant.
CONSTITUTION: A potential measuring device 2 measures the corrosion potential at the specific measurement object portion of a structural member in a reactor pressure vessel 8 by using the potential of a reference electrode 1 generating the reference potential for potential measurement as a reference. Detected results of the potential measuring device 2 and various detecting sensors are processed by a computer 3. A program simulating the corrosion potential based on the expected water quality data of the monitor object portion and the analysis data of sampling water is stored in the external memory device of the computer system 3 in advance. The processor of the computer 3 obtains the information about the corrosion potential by conducting this program, and it correlatively displays the corrosion potential and water quality data on a display device 42.
