Title:
DEVICE FOR POSITIONING CURSOR ON MONITOR SCREEN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3027275
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a remote control device which can be easily used to determine the boundary of anatomical characteristics on the screen with a means to produce irradiation beams almost in all direction patterns over a prescribed angle part of a cone, and a plural number of detectors to produce electric signals which changes as a function of strength of irradiation.
CONSTITUTION: When a user targets a display console and presses a button switch 50 of a portable remote controller 40, electricity will be supplied from a battery 52 to each part. Then output signals of a first modulator 46 are given to an LED driver 60, and infrared ray beams are produced as pulses from an infrared ray LED 62. The produced infrared ray beams are irradiated almost in all direction pattern over a prescribed angle part of a cone. Therefore, the infrared ray beams can be directed selectively toward detectors installed on four comers of the monitor of the display console. The cursor on the screen displayed on the monitor will move to a new position according to the strength of the infrared rays irradiated to each detector.
