PURPOSE: To provide an electrostatic photo (multicolor, for example) printer capable of printing a color image for the purpose of cost effective professional use.
CONSTITUTION: The printer is an electrostatic photo printer 10 for forming an image on a paper roll; the printer is composed of at least one image forming electrostatic photo station provided with a drum 24 on which a toner image can be formed, means for transporting a rolled paper 12 through the image forming station, means for controlling speed and tension of the rolled paper while the paper is travelling through the image forming station, and a means 34 for transferring to the rolled paper the toner image on the drum. The printer is characterized by a means for switching the printer between the print mode and the cleaning mode.
