Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of pseudo chrominance signals in a video signal record ing VTR by preceding the time center of gravity of a luminance signal synthesized from a picture element line signal in a veneer color solid-state image pickup element by that of plural picture element line signals which synthesize two kinds of color difference signals. CONSTITUTION:Signals of picture element lines N, N+2, N+4, and N+1 and N+3 are outputted in order respectively at every horizontal scanning period in the odd field period and the even field period of a solid-state image pickup element that output one picture element line in one horizontal scanning period. Each picture element line provides two kinds of color picture elements alternately, and low-pass components in the signals outputted from the picture element lines N, N+2, and N+4 constitute the luminance signals Yn, Yn+2, and Yn+4 respectively, and two color picture elements neighboring in a horizontal direction constitute color difference signals Cn, Cn+2, and Cn+4, and in the horizontal scanning period, prescribed color difference signals I and Q synthesized from the signals Cn and Cn+2 are recorded with the signal YN+2. The luminance signal and the color difference signal reproduced from a VTR have two picture element lines of phase differences, and a vertical phase difference between a reproduced signal Yn+2 and the signals I and Q is eliminated, thereby the pseudo chrominance signal is not generated.
