Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC DISCHARGE MACHINING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3003490
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To automatically exchange a number of works with machining electrodes by storing the fundamental actions to execute the positioning of the works, the measurement of the core deviation of the electrodes and the electric discharge machining by the data on the machining electrodes in a numerical control device.
CONSTITUTION: The data on the positioning of works 2 and the data on the electric discharge machining are stored in a storing means mounted oh a work mounting jig, and the data on electrodes 1 are stored in a storing means mounted on the electrode mounting jig. The fundamental actions to execute the positioning of the works, the measurement of the core deviation of the electrodes and the electric discharge machining by the data are stored in a numerical control device 10. This constitution automatically exchanges a number of works 2 with the machining electrodes 1 by an exchanging means 130, and facilitates the preparation of the program from the positioning and measuring process of the works 2 to the electric discharge machining through the measurement process of the core deviation of the electrodes. In addition, the repetitive errors by the electrode exchange and the thermal displacement of a machine are corrected to execute the measurement process of correction of the core deviation of the electrodes on the electric discharge machine.
