PURPOSE: To prevent circumstances in which a sheet butts against a paper feed roller and gets in the way of taking off when a paper feed cassette is taken off.

CONSTITUTION: A turning bracket 33 provided with a push-pressing roller 36 rotatably, a lever 34 turning integrally with the bracket 33, and an energizing spring 32 energizing the roller 36 toward the lower part by energizing turningly and anti-clockwise the lever 34 and the bracket 33, are provided at a device main body 10. Meanwhile, a cam surface 44b that pushes down the bottom plate 49 of a paper feed cassette 18 by coming into contact with the tip of the lever 34 when the cassette 18 is taken off and turning the bracket 33 integrally and energizing the roller 36 countenclockwise, is provided at the cassette 18.
