PURPOSE: To provide a submerged type wave control device for using a coast for a multi-purpose as an artificial reef capable of gathering waves or generating a calm sea area along the coast, and contributing to the culture of fishery or the like.

CONSTITUTION: Box-shaped floating units 2 connected to tensioned mooring ropes 4 are held under sea level, and then charged with the air 7 through the bottoms thereof. The units 2 are thereby moored under tension below the sea level. A plurality of said units 2 are connected to each other via connection members 3, thereby constituting and installing a submerged wave control device 1 below the sea level.
