Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure the stable generation of bubbles from a bubbling nozzle and to obtain a high-quality glass free from defect such as stone and stria.
CONSTITUTION: A bubbling nozzle 1 is protruded from the refractory base 2 of the furnace bottom. The nozzle-protruding face 8 in the furnace is directed nearly perpendicular to the horizontal bottom of the furnace and the protruded nozzle tip is positioned above the horizontal furnace bottom. Bubbles 4 are generated from the bubbling nozzle.
