PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of running of a display screen while changing a display part and to easily grasp the position of the displayed part within an entire picture information.
CONSTITUTION: A position detection section 1 detects the position of a display section 4, a picture storage section 2 stores a picture information, a selection section 3 selects a part of the picture information stored by the section 2 based on the position of the section 4 detected by the section 1 and supplies the information to the section 4 and the section 4 displays the picture information selected. When the whole part of the picture information stored in the section 2 is to be plotted into the visual field space which is relatively fixed with respect to an eye, the section 3 selects the picture information plotted in the section 4 located in the visual field space.
