PURPOSE: To reduce the power consumption of a digital transversal automatic equalizer by providing a control means which contains a table where an output control pattern is written.

CONSTITUTION: A control means 7 contains a table where an output control pattern is written to output the prescribed correlator output and a prescribed clock out of those input correlator outputs and clocks in accordance with the circuit state. Then, the means 7 reads the corresponding output control pattern out of the table based on the circuit state information impressed from the outside and then supplies the correlator output and the clock to an integrator part 62 based on the control pattern. The part 62 integrates the correlator output with use of the supplied clock and generates a weighting signal to impress it to an FIR filter 5.
