Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an amplifier including a means for limiting output current which can be supplied by the amplifier. CONSTITUTION: The amplifier is provided for an integrated circuit in MOS technology. A circuit containing a resistor R detecting whether current exceeds a current value for making the current limitation of the state of a push pull-type to be secure when the inner resistance of output transistors T1 and T2 is not sufficient for making limitation to be secure, a limitation transistor T4 connected to the resistor for detecting excess current, a transistor T7 for making current in the transistor T4 two-fold, a resistor R1 biasing the transistor T7, a transistor T8 connecting the two-fold transistor T7 and amplifier input and separating the two-fold transistor T7 and amplifier input is provided.
