Abstract:
PURPOSE: To inexpensively execute the heat insulation of both light sources of an image reader main body and a transmissive original unit.
CONSTITUTION: As for an image reader constituted of the image reader main body 1 using a fluorescent tube 2 and the transmissive original unit 10 which uses a fluorescent tube 11 and which is mounted on the main body 1; the self- heat-insulation is executed by controlling the turning on/off of the tubes 2 and 11 based on the output of a light quantity detection sensor 8.
