Title:
WAVELENGTH-DIVISION MULTIPLEXER FOR INTEGRATED OPTICAL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0618736
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the number of spectrum channels that a multiplexer of limited size can collect without producing undesirable crosstalk in an integrated photoelectric circuit.
CONSTITUTION: To multiple a wave set arrayed according to the wavelength, two diffraction gratings 20A and 20B are formed at the edge of a common waveguide area 10. One diffraction grating converges waves of odd ranks on a 1st input 16A of an output waveguide 14 and the other diffraction grating converges waves of even ranks on a 2nd input 16B of the same output waveguie.
