Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the increase of the mass of developer per unit area at a part which is in the carrying area of a developer carrier and in the vicinity of the boundary of the area.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic roll 15 is included in a developing sleeve 14, and four magnetic poles N1, S1, N2 and S2 are provided on the roll 15. The magnetic force of the magnetic pole N1 opposed to a blade 16 is made uniform in an area B and the magnetic force of the magnetic pole N1 in an area D is larger than that of the magnetic pole N1 in the area B.
