Abstract:

PURPOSE: To secure actuation and separation of an electromagnetic clutch by arranging a spring which energizes an armature in the direction of a clutch gear along an actuating shaft and releases engagement between the clutch gear and a motive power transmitting mechanism when an electromagnet is put in an electrically nonconductive condition and frees the actuating shaft.

CONSTITUTION: When an electric current is carried to an electromagnet 40 in a condition where internal teeth 22 of an armature 20 and external teeth 14 of a clutch gear 10 mesh with each other, the armature 20 moves in the (-a) shaft direction, and an actuating shaft 1 is rotated through the armature 20 and a motive power transmitting mechanism 30 by rotation of the clutch gear 10. When current carrying of the electromagnet 4 is cut off, the armature 20 moves in the (+a) direction by a coil spring 50, and releases meshing between teeth 24 and teeth 32. That is, transmission of motive power to the motive power transmistting mechanism 30 from the armature 20 is released, and transmission of motive power to the actuating shaft 1 is stopped even if a sevomotor 60 rotates, As a result, since the actuating shaft 1 freely rotates by a spring to energize a throttle in the opening direction, the throttle can be released from a device.
