PURPOSE: To provide a compact polar relay.

CONSTITUTION: A coil block 3 wound around a coil 32 is provided on an iron core 31. The both magnetic poles of the iron core 31 are magnetized to the same polarity in a permanent magnet 4, and the intermediate part of an armature 51 is pivotally supported and is magnetized in polarity different from the both magnetic poles of the iron core 31. The permanent magnet 4 is fitted to the coil block 3 so that the magnet is stored in the outer size of the coil block 3, while the size of the armature 51 is smaller than the width and the size of the coil block 3.
