PURPOSE: To provide the method for switching screen capable of making a window which is disappeared on a screen active on the screen without displaying a part of area on the screen.
CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with an icon generation part 13 generating an icon corresponding to respective windows 10-12 and window display instruction means 4 inputting an instruction which lets a window corresponding to the icon which is designated by both the instruction displaying the icon on the screen and the displayed icon designation be active. A window management means 2 is provided with a screen switching control part 16 switching the window to be displayed on the display means 6. The icon is displayed on the screen according to the icon display instruction input. As the icon is designated, the window selected by the icon is made active according to the active window selection instruction input and the screen is displayed.
