PURPOSE: To smoothly perform the standing operation in the condition that hands of a user are placed on arm rests of both sides of a chair by inclining each arm rest downward as it comes close to the front end thereof, and setting the height position of the front end of the arm rest lower than the height position of knees.

CONSTITUTION: A wash bowl 4 of a wash stand 3 is operated for elevation, and each arm rest 2 is inclined along the inclination of the lower surface 6 of the wash bowl 4, and the arm rest 2 is inclined so as to be curved with the upper side thereof recessed. Position of the height (h) of the front end of the arm rest 2 is set higher than the height position of a seat part 7 of a chair main body 7 and lower than the height H of the knees within a dimensional range L of 3-15cm. At the time of using the wash stand 3 in the condition that the wash bowl 4 is projected this side from the wash stand 3, standing operation in the condition that a user places his both hands on the arm rests 2 of both sides can be smoothly performed.
