PURPOSE: To continuously and mechanically carry out positioning and bending of a nail concerning the bent nail the axial part of which is engaged with a cutout of its head part by way of reversing the axial part.

CONSTITUTION: On a delivery member 24 provided on a rectilinear guide passage 21, an engagement projection 28 to engage with a cutout of a nail, and in the middle of the guide passage 21, a torque giving means 29 to rotate the nail is provided. On the rear part of the guide passage 21, a nail receiving member 33 to move in the longitudinal direction and a fixing means 41 to fix the head part of the nail are provided, and below the receiving member 33, a bending member 53 free to revolve vertically is provided. In this structure, by rotating the nail 1 while it is moved in the guide passage 21, the cutout is positioned on the engagement projection 28 of the delivery member 24, the bending member 53 is put in below the delivery member 24, and the nail 1 is bent at right angles. Thereafter, the delivery member 24 is retreated, the bending member 53 is revolved toward the receiving member 33, and the axial part of the nail 1 is bent to the head part.
