PURPOSE: To improve the flaw resistance in a developer and to process rapidly by incorporating a silver halide emulsion layer, a solid dye dispersed in any of the emulsion layer and other hydrophilic colloid layer and an acetate.

CONSTITUTION: The solid dye is dispersed in any of the silver halide emulsion layer and other hydrophilic colloid layers. The dye must satisfy the following conditioned: (1) the dye has a spectral absorption appropriate for the use, (2) the dye is photochemically inert, (3) the dye is not decolored or eluted into the processing soln. and the harmful coloration is not left on the processed photographic sensitive material, (4) the dye is not diffused from the dyed layer and other layers, and (5) the dye is excellent in aging stability in the soln. or in the photographic material and not discolored or faded. The dye is expressed by the formula. The dye in the dispersion medium has 0.1-0.6μm average grain diameter and is a fine solid with the coefficient of variance of grain size distribution controlled ≤50%.
