Title:
TRANSLUCENT LAMINATED POLYESTER FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0752349
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a translucent laminated polyester film capable of reconciling the enhancement of the quality of a magnetic tape and the reduction of production cost.

CONSTITUTION: A translucent laminated polyester film is a three-layered polyester film consisting of a shading layer containing titanium dioxide and the lubricant-containing layers laminated to both surfaces of the shading layer. Titanium dioxide is added only to the shading layer and the light transmittance T (%) at 900nm of the shading layer is 10≤T≤40 and the total thickness of the film is 11.5-16.5μm. The thickness to (μm) of each of the lubricant-containing layers is 20≤to≤5.0 and each of the lubricant-containing layers contains 0.1-1.0wt.% of a lubricant with an average particle size of 0.1μm or more selected from a group consisting of silica, calcium carbonate and kaolin. The F5 values in the longitudinal and lateral directions of the film are 10.5kg/mm2 or more.
