Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp having higher output and a thinner shape than a conventional one.
SOLUTION: First and second annular discharge tubes 10, 20 having electrodes 11, 12 at one side end portions and blocking portion at the other side ends, having different diameters for respective annuli are concentrically arranged. The vicinities of the other side end portions of the first and the second annular discharge tubes 10, 20 are joined by a bridge 1 so as to form an inside discharge path. The bridge 1 is formed by heating blowing out the parts of the tube wall glass of the first and the second annular discharge tubes 10, 20, and fusing joining the protrusion portions produced on the tube wall glass.
