Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the transfer quantity of image data to a thermal head, to enhance the efficiency of a system and to attain a high speed of the recording speed of the thermal head.
CONSTITUTION: The image data received from a communication line is stored in a RAM 11. The image data is transferred to a P/S conversion circuit 14 by a DMA controller 13 based on the request of a transfer request circuit 12. In the P/S conversion circuit 124, the image data is converted from parallel to serial and it is outputted to a data masking circuit 15. In the data masking circuit 15, a processing in which nonrecording image data is converted into white data is performed and the data is outputted to a thermal head 16. For dividing the driving element of the thermal head into two blocks and driving it every block, a strobing A signal and a strobing B signal are provided, the two strobing signals are alternately switched in a strobing switching circuit and they are outputted to the thermal head 16.
