Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a carrier for culturing an animal cell capable of immobilizing the animal cell at a high density without deteriorating the environment suitable for the growth of the animal cell.
CONSTITUTION: The carrier for culturing an animal cell is characterized by bonding a cationic polymer polyethyleneimine to an open-cell foam made of cellulose. Furthermore, optimum ranges are numerically limited for particle diameter, average pore diameter, specific surface area, true specific gravity and apparent density.
