Abstract:
PURPOSE:To rapidly retrieve also an indefinite inquiry, i.e. a proposal different from a name registered in a data base by utilizing address information or professional information for retrieval. CONSTITUTION:A name is inputted from an I/O device 1. A retrieval control device 2 retrieves a data base 3 on the basis of the inputted name information. When a coincident answer exists as the result of retrieval, the retrieved result is transmitted to the input device 1 and the retrieved answer is outputted. When there is no coincident answer, the device 2 refers a word dictionary storage device 4 and decomposes the inputted name information into words with attributes. A retrieval algorithm to be adopted is determined on the basis of the divided patterns (name + profession + address + ending of word). When the address and the profession are divided, a name to be easily detected in error is retrieved on the basis of upper concept obtained by retrieving respective storage means 5, 6.
