PURPOSE: To reproduce a picture processor which is suitable for the picture forming device of an electronic photograph system and can reproduce a high- definition picture.

CONSTITUTION: This processor is provided with a digital/analog converter 20 for converting an input digital video signal into an analog video signal, an analog processing circuit 21 for converting the analog video signal of the output of the converter 20 into a second analog signal to change to a positive direction as centering around a reference value and a third analog signal to change to a negative direction as centering around the reference value, a pattern signal generation circuit 22 for generating the pattern signal of a period determined by an inputted period setting signal, and pulse width modulation signal generating means consisting of comparators 23, 24 for generating a pulse width modulation signal to be inverted according to whether this pattern signal is located between the second analog signal and the third analog signal and a NOR gate 25. Also the pattern signal generation circuit 22 consists of a means to generate a switching signal and a current synchronizing with the period setting signal and generate a triangular wave as the pattern signal by this switching signal and the current.
