PURPOSE: To enable press-fitting with small pressing force and enlarge drawing force in a grommet for synthetic resin pallet which is used for a fork lift by forming a through-hole on a barrel to be inserted into the pallet, which through- hole is formed of a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion which are communicated with each other through a stepped portion.

CONSTITUTION: A grommet 40 is composed of a barrel 41 having flanges 43, 45. A through-hole 47 which penetrates the flanges 43, 45 and opened thereto is formed on the barrel 41. The through-hole 47 is formed of a large diameter portion 49 and a small diameter portion 50 which are communicated with each other through a stepped portion 51. The flange 45 is slightly smaller than the flange 43 and has a surface curved from an end of the barrel 41 so as to facilitate insertion of a pallet into a grommet installation hole. The large diameter portion 49 is formed on the side of the flange 43. The diameter and depth of the large diameter portion 49 are respectively=twice as those of the small diameter portion 50. In order to install the pallet to the grommet, a press-fit pin is inserted into the large diameter portion 49, and its end is abutted against the stepped portion 51 for press-fitting.
