Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a hot rolled steel plate for a high toughness square steel tube excellent in galvanizing cracking resistance at a low cost by subjecting a steel contg. specified ratios of C, Si and Mn to hot rolling in such a manner that the temp. and draft are prescribed.
CONSTITUTION: A steel having a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.02 to 0.1.2% C, ≤0.5% Si, 0.2 to 2.0% Mn, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is subjected to hot rolling under the conditions of ≤1050°C temp. and ≤60% draft. Thus, the hot rolled steel plate for a high toughness square steel tube excellent in galvanizing cracking resistance can be produced at a low cost.
