Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an accurate evaluation by measuring the hardnesses of, for example, thin-film samples and compare the hardnesses.
SOLUTION: The push-in depth of an indenter is set to a depth where the influence of a base where a sample is placed is small in advance, the indenter is pushed into a set depth, and the hardness of the sample is obtained from a load applied to the indenter at that time and the set depth, thus performing hardness test without nearly being affected by the base and accurately compare the hardnesses of samples.
