PURPOSE: To manufacture an non-calcining agglomerate having high product strength with high strength developing speed by beforehand mixing powder mainly composed of blast furnace granulated fine powder and calcium series alkali stimulus agent, adding this mixed material to powdery iron-containing raw material and executing agglomerating treatment.
CONSTITUTION: The gypsum-containing blast furnace granulated fine powder 11 of potential hydraulic material and the calcium series alkali stimulus agent 12, are mixed by a ball mill 3 to obtain binder. On the other hand, blast furnace secondary ash 21, converter dusts 22, 23, sintered dry dust 24, sand iron 25, etc., are mixed to obtain the powdery iron-containing raw material. The above binder is added to the iron-containing raw material and water is added to the obtd. blended raw material and kneaded by wet-type ball mill 5. This kneaded material is roll-granulated by a granulating machine 6 and the obtd. agglomerates are piled on a yard 7, retained to the heat and aged. By this method, contacting degree and dispersing degree between the blast furnace granulated raw material fine powder and the calcium series alkali stimulus agent in the blended raw material are improved to promote hydration reaction.
