PURPOSE: To automatically extend neatly an opening part of a bag which is to be removed with a raw material in it and also send the bag in an extended state to a next process.

CONSTITUTION: A lift table 3 is moved upward at a bag removal position, right and left ends 16,1 6 of a bag opening 15 are held by a pair of end holders 4, 4, clamping of the opening is released for a chute 2, the opening 15 is removed from the chute 2 while the right and left ends of the opening are being held by the end holders 4, and the end holders 4, 4 are separated from each other by holder advance controllers 5, 5 to have the opening 15 extended laterally. Then respective holding bars 6, 6 are advanced to a opening holding position, and after the opening 15 is held from fore-and-aft sides the holding by the end holders 4, 4 is canceled, so that the bag Y with a raw material in it is sent from on the lift table 3 to a next process by a pusher 9 while the opening 15 is being held by the respective holding bars 6, 6.
