Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject emulsion excellent in dispersion stability.

CONSTITUTION: The objective emulsion can be obtained by the following three consecutive processed: (A) hydrotalcite powder surface-treated with a water- insoluble organic compound is mixed with an emulsifier in a powder mixer; (B) a dispersion produced by putting the powder mixture obtained in the process A is agitated while keeping the dispersion temperature at the melting point of the emulsifier or higher to obtain an aqueous emulsion; and (C) subsequently to the process B, under continued agitation, the temperature of the resultant aqueous emulsion is lowered to the temperature lower than the melting point of the emulsifier by ≥5°C.
