PURPOSE: To provide a computer software means which corrects the inaccuracy of an observation picture to give a fidelity of observation.
CONSTITUTION: A computer picture generator system is provided with a controller 30, a data base disk 32, a processor 34, an on-line memory 36, and a data projector 22. A distortion correcting means is provided which takes a form of a software program which is stored in the online memory 36 and can be executed by the processor 34. For the purpose of a 'correct' scene is sent to a virtual observation picture, curvature of a reflection face of the picture is corrected, and 'corrected' display data is supplied to a display memory 23 of the data projector 22. When it passes the processor 34, an H ratio and a W ratio stored in a look-up table (LUT) are used in display data in relation to two-pass operation to change the picture element flow supplied to the memory 23 of the projector 22.
