Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress migration without lowering an oxygen gas absorbing function and raising a manufacturing cost, and improve a cycle property remarkably. CONSTITUTION:A separator impregnated with an alkaline electrolytic liquid is set between a negative electrode 2 having cadmium oxide as an active material and a positive electrode 1. Boric acid or at least one salt of boric acid is added to a battery and at the same time a high molecular compound having hydroxy group which carries out cross-linking reaction with the boric acid of the salt of boric acid exists in the surface and/or inside of the negative electrode.
