PURPOSE: To prevent the clogging of the filter for a garbage treatment by providing many slits expanding more to a tapered shape toward the outer side in an axial direction.

CONSTITUTION: The many slits S for filtering moisture are provided in the cylindrical filter 10 used for a garbage treating device in the axial direction of the filter 10. The slits S are so formed that the sectional shapes expand to the tapered shape toward the outer side. The clogging of the filter which filters and removes the moisture separated from gerbage is substantially prevented in this way and the smooth execution of the dehydrating treatment of the garbage treating device is possible. The easy treatment of the clogging is possible even when the filter is clogged.
