PURPOSE: To realize instantaneous ignition of propelling charge and minimize a pressure difference generated in the chamber of a firearm by a method wherein a central ignition charge carrying tube is arranged in a hollow section along the central longitudinal axis of propelling charge while the ignition charge is provided on the inside surface and/or the outside surface of the central ignition charge carrying tube.
CONSTITUTION: A firing device 10 is provided with a tubular hollow section 3 along the central axis of a launching device 10 and propelling charge is received in a charge vessel 4 while a central hollow ignition charge carrying tube 1 is provided in the tubular hollow section. The central ignition charge carrying tube 1 is a hollow tubular body along the central longitudinal axis of the propelling charge while the hollow wall surface is provided with the layer 2 of ignition charge, such as single and/or double base charge containing black powder or nitrocellulose or the like, for example, according to this method, flame, discharged out of a primer, is spread into the whole of a space retained at the center of the propelling charge whereby the substantially simultaneous ignition of the ignition charge arranged across the whole length of the propelling charge can be accomplished.
