Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a composite material having excellent heat resistance, electrical insulating properties and thermal conductivity, comprising a polyether imide, a polyphenylene oxide, a silane coupling agent, a filler, a styrenic copolymer/divinyl-based compound.
CONSTITUTION: A polyether imide of formula I (R1 is group formula II to formula V, etc.; R2 is group formula III, formula IV, formula VI, formula VII, etc.) is blended with a polyphenylene oxide of formula VIII (X1 to X4 are H or methyl; (n) is ≥1 integer), a silane coupling agent, a filler and a styrenic copolymer or a divinyl-based compound. Whiskers or an inorganic filler in a single fiber state is used as the filler.
