PURPOSE: To shorten a print start aligning time by providing an operation designating unit for setting a print starting position, a print position storage unit for storing the starting position, and print position control means for regulating a print position.

CONSTITUTION: A print starting position mark 1 is provided on a guide member 2 for guiding a print sheet 3 on which a display format, etc., is preprinted near a printer 10. The mark 1 is so provided at a position separated at a predetermined distance from the printer 10 as to become a position where an operator can be easily observed. In order to easily observe a print starting position of the sheet 3, the member 2 is formed of transparent resin. Print start aligning of the sheet 3 is conducted by providing the mark 1 on the member 2, regulating the starting position by an operation designating unit 5, storing a plurality of print starting positions in a print starting position storage unit, and calling the starting position from the storage unit in response to a type of the sheet 3.
