PURPOSE: To provide a packaging machine which is excellent in the finish of packaging and is able to improve the working efficiency.

CONSTITUTION: A sheet feeder 5 supplies packaging sheets 1 one by one from a sheet container 3 to a work table 31 of a packaging section 4, and the packaging sheet supplied on the work table is held at the edges by two or more sheet holders 6-9. Driving timing is set so that the sheet holders 6-9 enter action state when the sheet feeder 5 passes near the center of the packaging sheet 1 placed after the sheet feeder 5 finishes feeding action and the packaging sheet 1 is placed on the work table 31.
