PURPOSE: To provide the liquid crystal projector device that displays an excellent projection image which has no trapezoidal distortion even when its projection angle is changed and further has neither defocusing nor deterioration.

CONSTITUTION: The shutter 11 of the liquid crystal projector device is fitted rotatably to a pedestal 12 by a rotary shaft 13. The gear fitted to a motor 14 engages on the teeth cut in the pedestal 12 and when the motor 14 rotates, a chassis 11 slants at X° in the same direction with the rotation of the motor 14. Further, the gear of the motor 14 rotates a gear 15a coupled with a liquid crystal plate 5R by X° in the opposite direction. The gear 15a then rotates a gear 9a coupled with a projection lens 9 by X° in the same direction. Similarly, the gear 15a rotates gears 17a and 18a coupled with liquid crystal plates 5G and 5B respectively in the opposite directions.
